Nthenya Ndunda, AKA Nthenya from Kenya, is a Kenyan-born stand-up comedian, actress, and writer who brings a global perspective and razor-sharp wit to every stage. Raised between Vancouver and the American South, her comedy explores identity, culture shocks, and the beauty of contradiction. In addition to performing at the New York Comedy Festival, San Francisco Sketchfest, and Traverse City Comedy Festival, Nthenya is a two-time Just for Laughs Montreal Stand-up & Pitch winner, KTLA’s Summer of Funny champ, showcased her half-hour special at the Yes And Laughter Lab (YALL) Festival, and recently appeared on CBS’ Comics Unleashed. As an actor, you’ve seen her on Shameless, Loosely, Exactly Nicole, and in Lifetime and Hallmark movies like The Suicide Note and Accidentally Engaged. From co-owning LA’s only Black, female-run comedy space to developing award-winning projects, Nthenya is carving her own lane – and inviting you along for the ride.
